Welcome to Coastal Equine
Home of Cow Cuttin Colonel and Cue Bars Laddie

Allison

We are a family operation with the purpose of breeding, training and promoting reining, cutting and working cowhorses. We have long been involved in the horse world, but our focus turned to performance horses when Allison attended Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo as an Animal Science Major. Since her graduation in 1999, we have been working to build a program with the vision of providing the industry with top quality performance horses.

Now located in Ferndale, we invite any of you to drop on by, or plan a trip to visit the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Emmitt and Mary, still reside in Anchor Point, Alaska where they own and operate Coastal Realty in addition to being active participants in ranch affairs here in Washington State.

AllisonIn addition to showing, Allison serves on the Executive Board of the NWRCHA, is the NRCHA Non Pro Representative for the Northwest Region and writes a monthly column for the Northwest Horse Source titled "On The Plus Side."

In addition to the success we have had in the show pen, this is the first year that Cow Cuttin Colonel's babies have been ridden. Out of a foal crop of 4, to date all 4 babies are headed to the 2008 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. Jim Spence of Yamhill, OR will be showing Ivy League Cutter, Josh Auman will be showing Overdosa Badger, and Allison will be shooting for the finals again on Cow Lucky Can We Be, and My Nu Cash Cow. It is so exciting to be seeing babies out of mares we have shown, by Joey, grow up and perform. It will be fun to see them in the pen next year!

Cue Bars Laddie proved himself in the roping arena in 2007 and will go back to reining and cowhorse in 2008. We have a large group of two year olds that have his athletic ability, disposition and color.

We have horses to fit all programs and all your needs, so, if you are looking for a beginner horse, a futurity prospect, or to breed to a great stallion, this is one stop shopping folks! The 2007 foal crop has proven to be one of our best yet! Check 'em out.
